In the kitchen at Organikids we have Catherine (Cat) who has been our full-time Chef for a few months.
Experience: Cat has owned and worked in her own restaurant alongside her husband, who is also a FIFO Chef. Cat has skills in hospitality in relation to basic food safety, preparation and handling.
Cat prepares meals that are not only very yummy but healthy and nutritional too and caters for all of the children with food allergies and special dietary requirements.
All staff have completed a basic Food Safety and Food Handling & Preparation training course to ensure that when our chef is away, the food we serve is always prepared and sev-ered correctly and is safe for the children to consume.
All of our meals at are organic and are wheat, nut and dairy free. We cater for any food allergies and for children with any special dietary requirements. For example: vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians. We serve 4 meals throughout the day and all are not only very yummy but healthy and nutritional too.
Alternative meal options are always available at each meal time.
We display our weekly menu’s on each of the notice boards located above the Kindy and Pre-Kindy Room Sign-In Desks. We will note any changes to the weekly menu and also encourage feed back and any input with new recipes or cook books.
Many of the dishes we serve are very multicultural and are inspired by our diverse families and popular dishes from various countries and cultures around the world. The children get to try exotic new foods and learn about countries and cultures through food.
